The La Fontaine Arts Council and Four Corners Custom Framing will once again sponsor JeFFFest. The event will take place Sunday, June 18, in downtown Huntington from 6 to 8:30 pm and will feature fun food, fabulous music and fine art.
The art part of JeFFFest offers artists of all ages the opportunity to create a special work on a 5″X7″ canvas. These official JeFFFest canvases are $5 and can be purchased only at the frame shop, 419 N Jefferson Street, during regular business hours, beginning May 3. Business hours are: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Completed canvases are to be returned to Four Corner Custom Framing by June 9 at which time they become property of the LAC. They will be professionally framed and displayed for the silent auction at the frame shop beginning June 16. The silent auction concludes the evening of JeFFFest.
Artists may purchase more than one canvas, and any media can be used on the canvas. Submissions must be dry and ready for framing when they are turned in. Artists will need to turn in a submission form for each canvas they create.
All proceeds from JeFFFest go toward the La Fontaine Arts Council’s “Arts in Education” programming.
